Merry-go-round

Surely you know that little thing with a button on the top to push 

And of it goes, dancing plastic figures in a transparent globe

The same does work in bigger with a motor inside, vivid riders on the top

Just one cant´t see anymore the one who pushes the button

We are all sitting in the same funny, little merry-go-round

Merrily we hop round and round in circles

Take seriously all our sorrys and worries

We are one by one sitting in the same funny little merry-go-round

Just one more tour will distract all our worries

It´s not all about some children´s joy as you now might think

As soon as you are in the trouble just begins

Might it be better on an elephant´s back or on a motor bike

Than in a helicopter or the fire engine car

Maybe one day we grow wiser a bit

Learn to pull a joystick to make our little car fly

But still round on its rail it turns, stays nothing but a child´s toy
